MERCEDES-BENZ VAN LEASING
As the oldest German brand name in motoring and one of the most respected and sought-after manufacturers in the world, the Mercedes name resonates respect and class. Though it is most famous for its collection of luxury cars, Mercedes vans have also earned recognition for design and superb performance.
Though Mercedes vans have been available since the L 319/L 406, it was the Mercedes Benz T1 (TN) and T 2 designs which propelled the brand’s popularity in the commercial vehicle sector. The T1 was introduced in 1977 and was available as a minibus or with a cargo box body/flat cargo bed. It was a durable vehicle that was eventually discontinued in 1995.
By contrast, the T 2 began production in 1967 and was built until 1996 when it was replaced by the Mercedes Vario. The Vario remains in the Mercedes vans range today as both a panel van and chassis cab. The chassis cab version of the Vario is available with a single or crew cab that has room for up to seven people. There is also a choice of four wheelbases and a maximum payload of 2.4-4.4 tonnes.
The Mercedes Benz Sprinter is one of the most critically acclaimed vehicles in the Mercedes vans fleet and was voted van of the year by Professional Van and Light Truck magazine in 2007. There are four versions of the Sprinter to choose from, including a panel van, a chassis cab and a dropside. The Mercedes Sprinter traveliner is a passenger-carrier with seating for seven-nine people.
The present generation of Mercedes vans concludes with the Mercedes Vito, which can be bought as a panel van, traveliner or dualiner built to carry up to six people and with plenty of room for cargo. Most notably, the Mercedes Vito also has two sporty versions to choose from, the Vito Sport and Sport-X, for those who want style and convenience.
