VAUXHALL VAN LEASING
Though the Vauxhall company was founded in 1857 and produced its first car in 1903, it wasn’t until the 1960s that Vauxhall entered the van market. Now there is an extensive range of Vauxhall vans to choose from, many of which show the classic hallmarks of those early designs.
That is because the first Vauxhall van was the Bedford Beagle, first released in 1964, which was based on the highly popular Vauxhall Viva. There are very few Beagles remaining today despite being commonplace in the 1960s, but Vauxhall’s ability to turn popular motor vehicles into vans remains. The current Vauxhall vans range includes the new Vauxhall Corsavan, which has a sporty coupe like appearance, and the new Vauxhall Astravan which is available as both a club and sportive model.
Following the success of the Bedford Beagle, there were many more Vauxhall vans released under the Bedford name in the 1980s and 1990s including the Bedford Astramax, the Bedford Rascal, the Bedford CF Van, the Bedford Midi and the Bedford Dormobile.
It wasn’t until 1997 that Vauxhall vans began to adopt the Vauxhall name. The Vauxhall Sintra ran from 1997-1999 and featured sliding rear side doors on both sides, while the Vauxhall Arena is now sold as the Vauxhall Vivaro.
The Vauxhall Vivaro name was established in 2001 and this medium-sized light commercial vehicle is one of the most popular in the Vauxhall vans range. It has many configurations and is sold as a panel van, platform-cab, minibus and as a combined bus/van.
The current Vauxhall vans collection also includes the Vauxhall Combo, a panel van and leisure activity vehicle and the Vauxhall Movano. The latter is a mid-sized commercial vehicle and comes with a wide choice of panel vans in three load lengths and a choice between a chassis cab, crew cab and body conversions.
